To say that 2020 has not been the most fortunate year on record would be an understatement of epic proportions. If, since 2016, it felt as if the world was rolling downhill, in 2020 it bumped off a rock at the edge of a cliff, like all rolling boulders do in cartoons, hung in the air for a precious second, while the audience held its breath, and plummeted down.

As you might’ve guessed from the fact that I went silent for over a month, my personal life has followed a similar trajectory. I’m dealing with a serious crisis at home.

And this blog, though an outlet for all things human, and a place where I share my amazement with the world—both its wonders and stupidity—is not the right place to vent. Or rant. Or talk about personal problems. So unless I have something smart, useful, or constructive to share from my experience—as I’m bound to eventually—I’ll keep this blog free of negativity.

I wrote a more detailed update for my Patrons, who are all friends, family, and allies because I don’t mind sharing more of my personal life with them. Especially since they asked, and offered help unprompted.

I really missed blogging, and the discussion that follows, so I’ll resume publishing new articles as circumstances permit.
